Beginners Sign Language Course 1A -Term 4
After the popularity of the sign language courses offered earlier in the year we are delighted to be offering the beginners 1A course again in Term 4. This 8 week course begins on Monday 12th October from 7pm to 9pm and will run weekly until Monday 7th December 2026. Note, there is no class on Labour Day Monday (26 October). Attendees ages 16+ are welcome, aged 12+ can attend if accompanied by an adult. The cost is $150pp including materials. Barry will return again to teach the course - a NZSL teacher and member of the NZSL Teachers Association.

Tū Mai — te reo Māori course - Term 4
TŪ MAI: Tū — to stand Tū Mai — stand, step forward, be present Want to feel more confident when it’s your turn to tū and introduce yourself in te reo Māori? Tū Mai is a relaxed and practical 8-week programme where you’ll learn to prepare your own mihi, share your pepeha, and learn a supporting waiata to stand alongside your kōrero. Whether it’s for work meetings, business events, hui, pōwhiri or community events, you’ll learn something you can actually take away and use with confidence. You don’t need to be fluent or have previous experience. Come along, learn, practise, understand the tikanga behind what you’re saying, and build the confidence to Tū Mai. KAIAKO | MATILDA KAHOTEA Matilda has taught people across many different professions to confidently tū and introduce themselves in te reo Māori - whether at work, meetings or events. Free 8 week course, starting Thursday 15th October 2026, 6-7.30pm. Places limited to 10 participants so register to secure your place now. Nau mai, haere mai.
