We pride ourselves on providing accessible and affordable classes, groups & workshops for people of all ages, cultures and interests. We hope that you will find something that interests you. If you have an idea for a class or workshop, please get in touch with us as we'd love to hear from you!

Working with Kids Workshop

We are delighted to be working with Plunket to bring you this Working with Kids workshop on July 15th. The course will teach the skills required to babysit, coach kids or help with after school care. The Workshop will take place on Wednesday July 15th and the cost is $55 per person.

Beginners Sign Language Course 

Make 2026 the year to begin your sign language journey. A number of our community joined us for the 8 week 1A Beginners sign language course this May. Classes started Wednesday 6th May, 7-9pm. 16+ or 12+ if accompanied by an adult. Taught by Barry, an experienced tutor from Auckland Deaf Society Inc, the students were introduced to the basics in a relaxed and welcoming environment. We hope to welcome Barry back in Term 3 for the NZSL Beginner 1B course.

Succulents Workshop

Saturday August 1st - 10am to 12pm Create your own succulent masterpiece with Christine from Living Sculptures. Learn how to care for, propagate and style beautiful succulent arrangements, No experience is required and all materials are included.

Join us in a relaxed environment for an evening of discussing your favourite poem or original poetry work. Monthly on every 2nd Tuesday from 7pm to 8.30pm

Walking on Road

Social Walking Group 

Meet at Highbury House at 9.45am on Friday mornings to set off by 10am for a local walk with a wonderful group of community members. Suitable for those wishing to walk locally at a gentle pace for about an hour. Often followed by a coffee and chat.

A boys art class aimed at children aged 10 to 14 years. Our fantastic art tutor Tarci will be teaching how to crete mechanical creatures in this brand new class. Wednesdays 4pm to 5.30pm. Starts July 29th. Cost: $165 per term
